Man stalks, gropes Los Angeles TV reporter during live report

KTLA Reporter attack KTLA: Twitter/user - EricRichards

A scary moment for a news station in LA when a live reporter stand up was interrupted by her scream.

KTLA journalist Mary Beth McDade was out covering the death of rock star David Bowie when a man brushed up against her while making a lewd, sexual remark causing the reporter to yell.

In the footage, you can hear McDade speaking to the anchors back in the studio, saying, "Rick and Cher, you know, he was known for breaking down barriers, and …” before she lets out a scream.

The camera man then quickly pans away, causing viewers to see a shaky image of their news van before it hurriedly pans again just catching the perpetrator in a hooded sweatshirt running away.

Because no one was injured Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angele Police Department states the incident is not being consider “an attack.”

Channel 5 let their viewers know via Twitter that McDade “is OK” and police would be looking at the video of the alarming event.
