Wednesday’s gloomy weather isn’t keeping people away from area theme parks for New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Disney’s Magic Kingdom reached maximum capacity Wednesday soon after the gates opened at 7 a.m.
Many who showed up at the theme park later on were turned away, according to Walt Disney World officials.
Visitors with one-day passes, or those who have yet to purchase a ticket, will be turned away and redirected to one of Disney’s other attractions, all of which are still open.
“Early bird gets the worm. We woke up early so we were able to get there,” said guest Jose Bernier Jr.
Officials said the length of the closure is dependent on whether or not capacity drops.
