Channel 6 (WKMG) is reporting this morning that longtime TV anchor Ben Aycrigg has died.
Aycrigg died in his home Tuesday night in Maitland from renal failure.
Aycrigg was 88.
For 15 years Aycrigg anchored the 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts before retiring in 1996.

He is survived by his sister, brother, wife and three children.
Aycrigg moved to Winter Park from Massachusetts in 1942 and attended Winter Park High School and Rollins College. He was also instrumental in launching WPRK-FM, Rollins College radio station.
