Hillary Clinton 'stripper' mural causes controversy in Australia

Hillary Clinton mural

A street artist in Melbourne, Australia who painted a mural of U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in a skimpy, patriotic 'bikini' with $100 bills tucked into her thong has now covered the image after complaints from residents.

The image, painted by the artist known as Lushsux, was deemed offensive by the local Maribyrnong Council and asked for it to be removed. Lushsux responded by covering Mrs. Clinton up with a niqab.

The Guardian reports:
The street artist uploaded a picture of the updated mural to Instagram of with the caption: "This is no longer a wall of a supposed "offensive" and near naked Hillary Clinton, it is now a depiction of a beautiful Muslim woman. No reasonable person would consider this offensive."

The council now wants the wall removed altogether, according to Lushsux.

The artist is known on social media for his controversial paintings: he's also behind the two-story naked mural of Donald Trump.
