ORLANDO, Fla. — A jury delivered guilty verdicts Thursday afternoon on three counts against a woman who accused off-duty Orlando police officers of brutality during her arrest at Universal Studios.

The woman's arm was broken.

The defense said the officers crossed the line and argued the fact her arm was broken proves that.

But prosecutors said the woman was out of control when she was arrested.

Investigators said Nancy Cavalier-Akus was drunk and obnoxious, but her attorneys said that would be no reason to break her arm.

In the security video that captured the incident, 29-year-old Cavalier-Akus drops something, and then two off-duty officers move in to arrest her. However,  as she was tackled to the ground, her arm broke.

The department claims the scene Cavalier-Akus created in front of tourists near the Universal parking garage warranted her arrest.

But defense attorneys said police went too far. They even pointed out two separate times one of the arresting officers was caught on the video laughing at Cavalier-Akus' comments.

The Orlando Police Department had an internal investigation, which found the officers did not do anything wrong.

Cavalier-Akus was charged with resisting an officer without violence, trespass and disorderly intoxication.

Following the verdict the judge sentenced the Cavalier-Akus to probation, and said the would have to write letters of apology to the Orlando police officers involved.
