Seminole County, Fla. — The former Seminole County Supervisor of Elections, who stepped down last month as Florida's secretary of state is back working in his old office, at least for now.
Mike Ertel, was appointed as the secretary of state by Governor Ron DeSantis last month and quickly submitted his resignation after blackface photos surfaced of him mocking a Hurricane Katrina survivor at 2005 Halloween party.
The new Seminole County supervisor of Elections, Chris Anderson has confirmed, Ertel has been hired on contract to help provide guidance for this Novembers elections in the county.
