This little piglet almost became a frozen pork-cicle!
According to a Facebook post by Sarah Pekkanen, friends of her were staying at a Pennsylvania ski resort to try and ride out the massive storm as snow covered the area. While the family was out for a walk, they found a baby pig stuck in the snow and ice near a highway and nearly frozen to death.
As a snowplow made its way toward them, they knew the little pink pig would be buried alive so the family scooped it up and snuck it back to their resort in a sweatshirt.Â
The Smith family was able to warm the piglet up and nurse him back to health. Their new pet, named Wee Wee, also enjoyed a dinner of mashed banana and grapes. Â
After the storm subsided, Wee Wee went home with the Smith's to Chevy Chase, Maryland temporarily. The Poplar Animal Sanctuary has agreed to take Wee Wee and look after him.
