A disturbing video of a kitten being doused with petrol and set on fire remains on Facebook...because the social networking site says it does not breach any of their rules!
More than 14,000 people have commented on the video, disgusted and despite complaints to Facebook, the 2 minute video remains online.
The video shows two men torturing a kitten by trapping it in a bucket, pouring a flammable liquid on its fur, and then setting it on fire.
User Kieran Dunwel says he saw came across the video and reported it to Facebook for containing graphic violence, but got a response saying the video did not breach 'community standards.'
"I clicked on it. Watched it. I was disgusted," said Dunwel.
Facebook's community standards say that graphic videos are shared on the site as a means of condemning the violence depicted, and raise awareness of instances of animal cruelty or atrocities committed worldwide.
