Contain Yourself! The Container Store hits Orlando

The Container Store

Store Manager Joanna Long gave a sneak peek this week as the final details were put in place at The Container Store on Millenia Boulevard.

"We can't wait to open the doors."

She says four to five thousand people are expected to check out the store each day of this weekend's (April 27 & 28) Grand Opening. Long tells us the company, which recently opened its first store in Tampa,  has had it's eye on Orlando for years.

"When this came along, we knew it was the right place," says Long. "We love this area, we love this corner and this shopping center. This is where our customer lives. This is something we've been looking forward to finally making happen."

Long says The Container Store was the first storage store of its kind, developing its concept in 1978.

"We really want you to come in and feel like you're not just getting one product," she adds. "You're getting a complete solution that's going to solve any organizational challenge you have in your home."

The store will employ nearly 60 local employees. This weekend, it will donate 10 percent of its Grand Opening sales from the Orlando store to the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. An Orlando "Super Fan" will also receive VIP treatment for the Grand Opening Celebration. Look for news about the store on its Facebook Page.

The Container Store is located at the corner of Conroy and Millenia at 4088 Millenia Blvd, Orlando FL 32839
