Kissimmee police are on the scene of a six vehicle crash that has parts of John Young Parkway at Carroll Street completely shut down in Kissimmee on Thursday.
Half a dozen people are sitting at a nearby gas station because of the accident. Maria has been stuck in traffic for hours while trying to get home.
“I came out to pick up my grandson around 1 o’clock and since then I’ve been driving around trying to get in,” she said. “Every corner is closed in. Finally on empty and I was able to get into the gas station and they told me it would take a couple more hours before I could get back in.
Police are on the scene and have not said how long the road will be closed.
At least two people involved in the crash were airlifted to nearby hospitals.
