Polk County Sheriff's Office arrested 47 people over the weekend in an online prostitution solicitation sting.
Polk undercover detectives say they conducted an online vice operation targeting adult ads. During the three-day operation, 47 suspects either responded to the ads, or met with detectives, with the intent to perform sexual acts in exchange for money, a release said. They were arrested and charged with crimes ranging from soliciting prostitution to aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
"Our detectives will continue to conduct investigations which target e-commerce ads for prostitution." said Sheriff Grady Judd. "Prostitution is illegal and those who commit or who derive proceeds from this crime in Polk County can expect to go to jail."
Among those arrested were Donald Chriss, 46, from Orlando...Ben Nguyen, 36, of Windemere and Jose Ayala, 59, from Oviedo.
