A boil water notice has been announced for those who live within the city limits of Lake Mary.

The reason behind the notice is a water main break that was caused by a Seminole County Contractor. The accident resulted in low water pressure in the system.

Officials are asking Lake Mary residents to be cautious and make sure that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A boil time of 1 minute should be sufficient. The notice will remain until the problem has been corrected or a bacteriological test has been done to show that the water is usable.

Residents with questions are asked to call the City of Lake Mary, Public Works Department at 407-585-1452 or visit their website at www.lakemaryfl.com.
