Kissimmee -Â Toho Water Authority has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for customers living off Boggy Creek Road in north Osceola County.
Homes and businesses in and around Spring Lake Village, Silver Lakes, Morning Side, Turnberry Reserve, North Shore, Fells Cove, and Rustic Acres. This also includes customers living on Nele Road, and Great Oaks Boulevard. This occurrence was caused as a result of a new 16 inch water main being flushed for service. Â
A "PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY" means that residents should boil their water prior to consumption (drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes) as a precautionary measure. A vigorous boil for one minute is to render water bacteriologically safe for drinking.  Use water purification tablets or iodine that many sports and camping stores sell or buy commercial bottled water for consumption and food preparation.
The boil water alert will be in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink at which time the boil water alert will be lifted by Toho Water Authority.
