The body of missing Osceola County soldier Kelli Bordeaux has been recovered and first-degree murder charges filed.
The 23-year-old disappeared two years ago from an Army base in Fayetteville, N.C.
Authorities arrested Nicholas Holbert in connection with Bordeaux's killing and charged him with first-degree murder.
Bordeaux grew up in St. Cloud and left to join the Army before being stationed at Fort Bragg.
Investigators said she left a bar with a man who offered her a ride home.
Holbert was later arrested for failing to register as a sex offender but had denied any involvement in Bordeaux's disappearance.
Investigators said a friend of Bordeaux received a text the night she disappeared saying she got home OK. The family is not convinced she's the one who actually sent it.
