This is otter-ly heartwarming!
A sleepy baby otter at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California decided there wasn't a more perfect bed to take a nap on than its mommy's furry tummy.
Footage of the new mom and her one-day-old pup cuddling while floating downstream in the Great Tide Pool is giving internet users all the feels. The mother otter is seen nuzzling her baby with her paws wrapped around the brown, fuzzy newborn.
Hank Armstrong, a spokesman for the aquarium in Monterey, California, said the birth of the youngster was 'pretty cool'.
Aquarium staff say the mother otter sought refuge in the Great Tide Pool in December, which is a protected basin for wild animals, and has been using the area for protection from other animals and stormy weather.
