Chipotle burrito hack learned on TikTok now removed from menu

Chipotle burrito

Chipotle has blocked a $3 burrito hack that went viral on TikTok. The hack, which involved ordering a single taco with all the free toppings and then wrapping it into a larger tortilla, allowed customers to save about $10 or more on their burrito.

Chipotle executives have since decided to remove the option to order a single taco until further notice.

“The current social media trend is resulting in a poor experience for our food, our employees and our customers waiting for orders,” Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Laurie Schalow said. Some Chipotle employees complained that the hack was disruptive and that customers would become angry if the portions given were appropriate for a single taco.

Another burrito menu hack encouraged customers to order a tortilla, beans, and cheese for $2.36.
