The incident report from Miami Beach police states the victim stopped the driver from entering the building without a face covering.
Ray Breslin told police he closed the door on the man even after he tried to prop it open with his foot.
The delivery driver did return to his vehicle and put on a mask but, once inside the lobby continued to argue with Breslin.
At one point, Breslin said the driver put a cellphone up to his face, and struck him with it.
The video shows the elderly man leaning back and pushing the driver away.
Police said the driver then left.
They have not identified the driver yet, but say he will be charged with simple battery.
Meantime, Amazon issued the following statement regarding the incident.
“This does not reflect the high standards we have for delivery service partners. We are addressing the incident with the delivery service partner and can confirm that this individual is no longer delivering Amazon packages. We are in touch with the customer to make things right.”
