Wikipedia won’t allow any additional edits to the ‘recession’ page

Wikipedia has placed a temporary ban on editing the “recession” page.

As Americans debate whether or not we have entered a recession, the online encyclopedia has seen a flood of edits to the page. Since last Monday, Wikipedia has seen hundreds of edits, and the issue seems to be split over partisan lines.

To stop the edit war, the page is now under a “semi-protection” status. Once the ban is lifted, edits will still be under review by volunteer editors.
