Walmart closings: DC supercenter to close; all Portland stores closing permanently

A Walmart Supercenter in Washington D.C. is being closed, according to the company, making it the 10th property the company is set to shutter this year.

Last month, the retail giant announced that seven stores and two pick-up-only centers will be closed, many by the end of the month.

The other stores to be closed are in Illinois, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Arkansas, Oregon and Florida.

The closings in Oregon mean that all Walmart stores in the city of Portland will be shuttered by the end of the month, according to the company. Stores in the city’s suburbs will remain open.

The stores and centers closing include:

  2. Washington D.C. - 99 H St. NW
  3. Pinellas Park, Florida - 6900 US Highway 19 North
  4. Homewood, Illinois - 17550 South Halsted St.
  5. Plainfield, Illinois - 12690 S. Route 59
  6. Lincolnwood, Illinois - 840 N. McCormick Blvd.
  7. Albuquerque, New Mexico - 301 San Mateo Blvd. SE
  8. Portland, Oregon - 4200 82nd Ave. SE
  9. Portland, Oregon - 1123 N Hayden Meadows Dr.
  10. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. - 10330 W. Silver Spring Dr.
