The number of Texas Democrats who have tested positive for COVID-19 has risen to six.
The new number comes after an unidentified source told Fox News a sixth member of the GOP has been diagnosed with the virus. He’s reportedly quarantining at home, as are the other five, the source says. “We’re focusing on our daily testing, following and going beyond CDC guidelines, social distancing and wearing masks as much as possible,” the source tells Fox. “We’re just not going to release daily counts.”
The six infected politicians were among 50 House Democrats who left Texas last week aboard a chartered plane to avoid voting on a controversial bill. Photos taken during the flight show the group interacting on the plane without masks.
