Mourners will dodge torrential rain during weekend memorial marches

The string of protest marches following the death of George Floyd at the knee of a now-fired Minneapolis Police Officer will continue this weekend across Central Florida, even as marchers will likely have to content with on-and-off torrential downpours and storms.

TODAY:

A Walk of Mourning and Restoration sponsored by Orlando World Outreach Center as community churches across Central Florida seek to mourn the deaths of innocent black men and women. Mourners will march from Camping World Stadium at 9am to Division Avenue, where pastors will lead the group in prayer.

Unity Gathering Orlando tomorrow 7pm in Pine Hills

Casselberry Prayer and Peace Walk at Target on 17-92 4pm Sunday

As Tropical Storm Cristobal will have no direct impacts on Central Florida but the outer bands of the storm will deliver a weekend of off-and-on torrential downpours and storms.
