Orlando, Fla. — While most University of Central Florida students finish their virtual final exams, a group of Knights are working hard to make sure no student goes hungry.

UCF senior Naseeka Dixon has led the charge as manager of the Knights Helping Knights Pantry.

At the campus food pantry, Dixon and the Pantry's staff are helping organize, fill and distribute to-go bags for students.

Each bag contains 10 food or toiletry items, available to students for free.

“The Knights Pantry has already distributed about 700 bags since UCF switched to entirely remote learning in mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” a release from the university states. “It will continue this service through the upcoming summer semester.”

Outside of a pandemic, the Knight’s Pantry gives up to five food items to students per day. Now students can make an appointment and pick up a bag of food—curbside.
