Tampa woman awarded $600,000 in 'revenge porn' case

In what's believed to be a record-setting amount, a Tampa jury has awarded 600-thousand dollars in damages to a woman who is a victim in a "revenge porn" case.

The award could be the largest in state history for a "revenge porn" case.

Melissa Berry sued her ex-boyfriend Mark Dawson, accusing him of posting naked photos of her online after the couple broke up back in 2008.

Berry explained that she was embarking on a modeling career when she and Dawson broke off their intimate relationship.

Prosecutors say Mark Dawson actually runs a dating service called Safe Dating, and even tried to bribe Berrys mother demanding $500 or he'd post the photos.
Berry says the suit isn't about money and she doesnt expect to collect much, but hopes it makes a point to others.
