A new survey reveals that Gen Z and millennials are turning to online gambling and AI to address their debt issues, with 65% of Gen Z and 49% of millennials using gambling to tackle their debt.

A survey from National Debt Relief and Wakefield Research found that 65% of millennials and 53% of Gen Z feel more comfortable discussing their financial problems with AI rather than with family and friends.
AI is increasingly being used as a financial advisor by younger generations, with 69% of millennials and 64% of Gen Z seeking money advice from AI during financial struggles.
More than a third of millennials and over a quarter of Gen Zers with unsecured debt owe $7,500 or more, highlighting the severity of their financial burdens.
The stigma around debt is significant, as 60% of Gen Z and millennials would rather disclose their weight publicly than reveal the amount of debt they carry.
The burden of debt is also influencing major life decisions for the groups, such as marriage and having children.
Additionally, the holiday season is causing financial stress, leading consumers to adopt more deliberate spending strategies, including Buy Now, Pay Later options.
