WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. — A Winter Springs woman is accused of repeatedly threatening her neighbor in person and by text, leaving the woman in constant fear and prompting her to change her daily routine, according to an arrest report.
Margarita Anne Ravelo, 36, was arrested Monday morning on Ringwood Drive on a felony charge of aggravated stalking.
Seminole County deputies responded shortly before 10 a.m. after receiving a disturbance call and found Ravelo in her front yard.
The neighbor told deputies Ravelo approached her that morning and said, “Are you afraid? You should be afraid,” according to the report. Ravelo also allegedly told her, “The police cannot help you, nobody can save you.”
The confrontation followed earlier text messages in which Ravelo allegedly wrote, “Watch out” and “You and your father should die.”
The neighbor, who cares for her disabled father, told deputies the repeated threats caused significant emotional distress and led her to change her routine to avoid Ravelo.
During the encounter with deputies, Ravelo said, “I haven’t done anything wrong yet,” according to the report.
Ravelo was booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility. Investigators requested electronic monitoring and an order prohibiting contact with the neighbor.
