Seminole County detectives expand search for missing woman after finding partner’s body

SANFORD, Fla. — Seminole County detectives are asking for tips as they look for a woman who went missing under suspicious circumstances Dec. 30, according to a press release.

Early the next morning on Dec. 31, a 2012 black Toyota Camry with Florida plates JKM-N34 was located at 1980 Cameron Avenue in Sanford; this vehicle had been occupied the night before by 35-year-old Tiffany Nicole Church and her boyfriend 26-year-old Trodarius Rainey, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

As the couple had not been seen since Wednesday night, the Sheriff’s Office initially reported on Jan. 1 that evidence within the vehicle indicated their disappearance was suspicious, and that they were considered endangered.

Just before 10 a.m. Saturday, Rainey’s body was discovered in a wooded area at Lake Jesup Park, according to the updated press release.

Rainey’s death is being investigated as a homicide, and detectives are actively searching for Church, who police say is still missing and endangered.

If you have any information that would aid in this investigation, you’re asked to contact the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office or Crimeline.
