A recent poll by NumberBarn reveals that Americans are increasingly frustrated with the volume of political calls and texts they receive, averaging 13 per week as Election Day approaches.

Sixty percent of respondents consider these messages excessive, and nearly 80% express distrust in the accuracy of the information provided.

To combat the influx of campaign communications, over a quarter of Americans (26%) have opted to pay to permanently block these calls and texts, while 57% have stopped answering calls from unknown numbers.

Additionally, over half of those surveyed believe political texts should only be sent to individuals who have opted in.

The findings suggest that while political outreach is unlikely to diminish, the effectiveness of such communication may be waning as voters become more skeptical and protective of their contact information.
