Pilot arrested for allegedly using a cam to spy on a UCF student

Orlando, Fla. — An airlines pilot has been arrested after UCF police say he installed a spy cam outside the bedroom apartment window of a 19 year old UCF Student.

The arrest report says Vernon Crider, a pilot with Frontier Airlines flew into Orlando International Airport on September 17 and was off duty when the video was recorded at The Pointe at Central apartments. The woman said she noticed the cam when a green light was flashing in her window.

Crider faces multiple charges including attempted video voyeurism, but has since bonded out of jail.

In the meantime, the victim and her mother have attempted to break the apartment lease, but have reportedly been unsuccessful.

The airlines confirmed that Crider does indeed work for them, but would not say if he is still employed. There has also been no comment from the manager of the student’s apartment complex.
