Orlando Int’l Airport debuts new floor art, Firehouse Subs

It’s a big week at the Orlando International Airport with Christmas travel and some new debuts.

On Wednesday, the airport unveiled the first of its four speciality “terrazzo flooring sections” which passengers see upon entering the main terminal.

The “Wellness Garden” is now a prominent feature of the ticket lobby:

The new "welcome mat" measures 28 feet by 32 feet and, in the airport's words, "evokes images of beauty and rhythm and celebrates the region's rich agricultural history."

For passengers looking for something a little more tangible, the airport on Thursday opened up a new Firehouse Subs shop in the main terminal food court.

Orlando International Airport this year made Fodor's list of top ten airports with "over-the-top" holiday decorations.
