Homicide ruled in shooting death of Altamonte Springs man

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office has ruled a homicide in the case of an Altamonte Springs man who was shot to death in his own home.

Deputies found Douglas Adams, 52, dead in his Georgia Avenue home around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.  They still have yet to release information on the circumstances surrounding Adams' death.

“I mean there’s people that he hasn’t gotten along with, but it ‘s never gone to that extent,” neighbor Brian Daubert told Channel 9 Eyewitness News.

Detectives do not believe the shooting was random.  No suspect information has been released.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
