GoFundMe set up for worker who died after falling from Starflyer

Orlando, Fla. — A GoFundMe page has been set up for 21 year old Jacob David Kaminsky, the Starflyer worker who fell from the International Drive attraction and later died at the hospital.

On Monday morning, Orange County Fire Rescue say that a caller reported that Jacob was up to 60 feet in the air on a platform, doing some routine maintenance on the ride when he fell. Rescue units began performing CPR on him until he was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

A family friend created the page in order to help cover the family’s funeral costs. The $25,000 goal will be used to bring the family here to Florida where they will then bring Jacob back home to Illinois, where he grew up.
