Free testing at Orange County Convention Center moved permanently inside

Orlando, Fla. — Afternoon thunderstorms are no longer a concern for the Orange County Convention Center Testing site.

COVID-19 testing is permanently being relocated from the parking lot to the parking garage.

“Given the weather and rain, it only made sense for us to reconfigure the site,” spokesman Mike Jachles tells WDBO.

Jachles says using all seven levels of the garage makes it faster for those getting tested and safer for those giving the tests, bringing them out of the heat and being exposed to bad weather.

Free tests are being offered for everyone, regardless of whether people are symptomatic or not, along with those wanting to be tested for the coronavirus antibodies.

If you believe you have COVID-19 symptoms, go to DoINeedACOVID19Test.com to obtain a voucher for a self-swab test.

Results are available in under 72 hours.

The site is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
