Boca Chica, TX — SpaceX CEO Elon Musk says his company's newest rocket could make its first orbital flight in the next six months.
Musk on Saturday unveiled the latest version of Starship, a spacecraft designed to carry humans to the moon and Mars.
“Do you want a future where we become a space-bearing civilization, out there among the stars? Or one where we are ever confined to Earth? And I say it is the first, I hope you’ll agree with me,” Musk said to a crowd at the company's rocket site in Texas.
Musk said manned Starship missions to space could happen next year.
The ship makes up the top half of a huge rocket assembly that stands nearly 400 feet tall.
