A political committee affiliated with Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier is circulating an invitation for a $25,000-per-person fundraiser at Walt Disney World.

The event is being organized by Friends of James Uthmeier, a political committee registered with the Florida Division of Elections and chaired by Uthmeier.

The “family weekend” is scheduled for Oct. 23-25, about a week before the November general election, according to the invitation first reported by Florida Politics.

Campaign finance records show Walt Disney Parks & Resorts contributed $1,440 to the committee earlier this month.

The fundraiser comes after Disney resumed political contributions to Republican candidates following a temporary pause in 2022, when the company publicly clashed with Governor Ron DeSantis and state lawmakers over legislation concerning discussions of sexual orientation and gender identity in schools.

Disney has continued contributing to candidates and political committees from both major parties during the 2026 election cycle, with campaign finance records showing millions of dollars in contributions in Florida.

The company has also lobbied Florida lawmakers on issues including taxes, hotel-tax revenue and workplace regulations.

Uthmeier, a Republican, is the incumbent Florida attorney general and is running for the office in the 2026 general election.
