Black Lives Matter mural in downtown Orlando vandalized

Orlando, Fla. — The 400 foot long Black Lives Matter mural that was scheduled to be finished Saturday morning in downtown Orlando has been vandalized.

Overnight,  messages like "Not enough" and “abolish” have been spray painted on the mural, which stretches along Rosalind Avenue in front of Lake Eola between Washington and Robinson Street.

On Friday morning, volunteers and community leaders gathered to paint the mural, which has the colors of the Pan-African flag.

Crews returned to the mural site and have painted over the graffiti and Rosalind Avenue has once again been re-opened for traffic. In the meantime, Orlando police are investigating and are asking anyone who may know who did this to contact Crimeline.
