OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A Belgian semiconductor company plans to establish its U.S. headquarters in Osceola County and create up to 12 jobs.
Magics Technologies will open a sales, business development and application engineering office at NeoCity, according to the Orlando Economic Partnership. It will be the company’s first U.S. presence.
The company designs radiation-resistant microchips for use in space, defense and nuclear energy applications. Magics is a “fabless” semiconductor company, meaning it designs chips but does not operate its own manufacturing facility.
Magics cited Central Florida’s semiconductor infrastructure, workforce, academic partnerships and proximity to customers among the reasons it selected the region.
The project was supported by Osceola County, the Orlando Economic Partnership, SelectFlorida, SkyWater Technology, the University of Central Florida and other regional organizations.
