DELTONA, Fla. — Deputies are investigating after a dispute between roommates led to gunfire inside a Deltona home late Thursday night, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 10:30 p.m. to 1087 Saxon Blvd. after receiving a report of shots fired through a bedroom door.
Investigators said the room was occupied at the time.
No one was injured.
The sheriff’s office said the shots went into an interior wall and one bullet landed on the bed.
Deputies said the shooting appears to have stemmed from an argument between roommates.
The shooter fled the scene after the gunfire and had not been taken into custody as of Friday morning.
Deputies initially surrounded the home as a precaution while they investigated.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
