Disney is taking the whole ‘being a jedi’ thing to the next level in their soon-opening Star Wars theme park “Galaxy’s Edge.”
Gone are the days of picking up a plastic black and grey hilt, and choosing one of 4 colors for your retractable blade.
At Savi’s Workshop, you’ll choose a Kyber Crystal based off of your inner motivator, then piece-by-piece build a one of kind heavy-duty saber to surround it.
Disney debuted some of the delicious details of the upcoming theme parks at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago this week - the new lightsaber builds being one of their most popular attractions.
You begin your Jedi (or Sith) path by choosing which Kyber Crystal beckons to you.
Is it power and control? Peace and justice? Elements of nature? Or protection and defense?t
After you choose, you’re given a tray full of parts to begin building your vary own lightsaber.
At the end, you will receive a bag to carry your new ‘civilized weapon’ around Black Spire as well as a belt clip when you want to keep your new duel-able saber by your side.

If you aren't for building your own saber though, you can always pick up a 'legacy lightsaber' at
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities.
These include the blades of Darth Vader, Darth Maul, both of Luke Skywalker’s, Ahsoka Tano and Mace Windu.
The hilts, now including some metal parts for a heavier feel, will effect which color your saber will be and the blades are universal for both custom and legacy sabers.
The Kyber Crystals won’t just work with the lightsabers though.
You’ll also find Sith and Jedi Holocrons - mystical wisdom in a box - available for pick up at Galaxy’s Edge.
Which Kyber Crystal you place in the Holocron will change whom you receive wise words from, but they also contain new and unusual lore about the Star Wars universe.
Don’t try to place a Jedi Crystal in a Sith Holocron or visa versa though - the boxes know when one of their own stones aren’t within them and will let you know how unhappy they are.

Disney representatives told us that they visited the LucasFilm archives many times to make sure each costume and piece of merchandise looked as close to the film-used props as possible.
