Toblerone is no longer able to legally label its chocolate bars as Swiss-made, due to the “Swissness Act” which requires certain criteria to be met in order to use Swiss symbols or call itself Swiss-made.
As a result, the iconic Matterhorn mountain logo will be replaced with a more generic mountain.
Toblerone is investing in its factory in Bern and will continue to produce its 100-gram bars there, with the same chocolate-honey-almond nougat formula as before.
The font and brand logo will also be inspired by the Toblerone archives, and include the signature of its founder.
