Miami-Dade County, Fla. — A  15-year-old is charged with manslaughter after investigators say he grabbed a gun which accidentally fired, killing two of his friends.

The tragedy happened Monday evening in Southwest Miami-Dade County when Julio Labrada, 14, and Jose Villareal III, 15, were visiting 15-year-old Joseph Blanco.

Investigators told WSVN-TV that one bullet killed both victims.

An arrest affidavit says the suspect told detectives he was holding the gun in the garage when it discharged.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

All three teenagers attended different schools in Homestead, Florida where grief counselors were on hand Tuesday.

In the meantime, Blanco was arrested and investigators say he will be tried as an adult.
