It’s warm and windy now, but rain and storms are just a few hours away, according to Severe Weather Center 9 meteorologist Brian Shields.
A line of storms is forming in the gulf, and will push into our western zones by mid-afternoon.
Highs Friday will be in the 80s and then rain will arrive late in the day.
Temperatures over the weekend are expected to be in the mid-60s.
According to Shields, storms Friday evening and night could be strong, with gusty winds being the primary threat.
Early next week a couple more cold fronts are expect to pass through bringing even cooler weather to the area.
