Man calls 911, says he killed girlfriend during argument

Broward Sheriff's officials say a man called 911 and told dispatchers he'd killed his girlfriend in the motel room they were sharing.

Dispatchers received the call from 52-year-old Reginald Kindle around 6:20 a.m. Sunday.

Deputies arrested the man without incident.

He told detectives that he had been staying at the Rashelle Hotel for about a month. According to an incident report, Kindle confessed to killing her early Saturday morning after an argument. He told detectives he tried to kill himself but ended up calling 911 to report his actions.

The victim's name hasn't been released.

Detectives continue their investigation and have not yet announced charges against Kindle. It isn't known whether he has an attorney.
