Great white sharks are not common in the Gulf of Mexico, although the apex predators are known to troll the warm waters looking for prey.
Video from a Panama City based fishing charter shows a great white attacking a fishing boat as a group of men are out fishing for Amberjack and Bonita.
The video was posted to Live Leak by MadFish Charters.
The man behind the camera also said that the shark attacked his trolling motor.
The man shooting the video can be heard warning the other men not to fall in the water.
The encounter ends peacefully, but it could have been worse.
