A well-known NFL agent is grieving after his mother and father died from coronavirus complications just minutes apart, he tweeted Tuesday.

According to USA Today, Exclusive Sports Group CEO Buddy Baker said in a video that his parents, Stuart and Adrian Baker, recently contracted the virus and died within six minutes of each other Sunday.

"Just a few weeks ago, they were in perfect health," he said of his father, who was 74, and his mother, who was 72, "Good Morning America" reported. The pair had been married for more than five decades.

“Hopefully, this can be the catalyst for a change,” he said. "Practice social distancing, wash your hands as regularly as you can and, importantly, stay at home.”

Baker also encouraged his followers to follow recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention amid the pandemic, according to USA Today.

As of Thursday morning, more than 48,000 people worldwide had died from the virus, including at least 5,000 in the United States, Johns Hopkins University reported.
