Tubbataha, Philippines — The photos look ominous, but in reality, the divers in Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park off the coast of the Philippines were not at risk.
Photographer Debbie Wallace captured shots of the giant whale shark which looked like it was about to swallow the two divers, but whale sharks one eat small fish, so the couple was never in danger reports Metro.
Wallace told reporters she was actually taking pictures of a group of barracudas when the whale shark broke through.
She and the divers swam closer to the awe inspiring creature to get a better look and she snapped the amazing shot.
Wallace told the news outlet that the 97,030 park is a magical place and is like heaven for photographers.
The park website states that it is home to a variety of marine life, including roughly 600 species of fish, 360 species of corals, and 11 species of sharks.
