Orlando, Florida — When News 96.5 WDBO listener Chris first rolled up on the traffic jam he thought a car possibly went into the woods near Semoran Boulevard and Hanging Moss Road.
“I just kind of looked over and was WHAT?” Chris said.
To his surprise, he saw a billboard worker literally dangling from a safety rope while Orlando Police and Fire scrambled below.
His co-worker just gazing at the poor fellow from up above.
“They were getting the ladders out so they could put a ladder up underneath him.” said Chris.
He estimates the worker was about 40 to 50 feet off the ground.
“If I would have been able to record it, he was trying to swing his legs to do something, I couldn’t tell what exactly he was trying to do, but his back was against the sign so he was turned around.” Chris said.
Traffic was backed up in the area for at least a mile.
The good news, the only thing that may have been hurt was the workers pride.
