UCF Knights QB McKenzie Milton injures knee during game against USF

Tampa, Fla. — The University of Central Florida's undefeated Knights may now have to finish out the season without one of their team members.

Quarterback and Heisman hopeful McKenzie Milton suffered a serious knee injury during the second quarter of the team's game as the University of South Florida Friday evening.

Both teams surrounded Milton as medical staff rushed to the field and carried him off. Milton was later taken to Tampa General Hospital where he will undergo emergency surgery.

So far, those involved with Tampa General Hospital and the Milton family have authorized to give an update that he is in “good” condition. No other updates were made available.

UCF is set to host the American Athletic Conference Championship game on December 1st. If the Knights win, this will be their second undefeated regular season in a row.
