You can register, update your information or check your registration status through the Florida Division of Elections. If you’ve recently moved to Florida and updated your driver’s license, you may have been automatically registered through Florida’s Motor Voter Act. Still, double check your registration rather than assuming your address was properly updated.

To register in Florida, you must be a U.S. citizen and Florida resident and be at least 18 by Election Day. Floridians who are 16 or 17 may pre-register. Additional eligibility requirements apply, including for people with felony convictions.
Key Florida election dates
- Voter registration deadline: Monday, Oct. 5
- Deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot: Thursday, Oct. 22, by 5 p.m.
- Mandatory early-voting period: Oct. 24–31; counties may offer additional days
- Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 3
Early voting dates, hours and locations vary by county. Check with your county’s Supervisor of Elections for local details. On Election Day, voters must go to their assigned polling place.
A vote-by-mail ballot request must be made through your county Supervisor of Elections. Completed ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections by 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
Florida voters can register online, update their existing registration, or verify their voter information through the Florida Division of Elections website.
