ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida’s active weather pattern will continue through the weekend and into early next week, with frequent rain and thunderstorms in the forecast.

A few showers will be possible Friday morning, but the better chance for rain and storms will arrive during the afternoon and evening.

Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to close out the work week.

The unsettled pattern continues Saturday, although storm coverage may be slightly lower. Highs will reach the low 90s.

Rain and storm chances increase again Sunday, with most activity expected during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will once again reach the low 90s.

Weather conditions are expected to remain active into early next week as a cold front stalls over Central Florida.

Periods of rain and thunderstorms are likely Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures easing back into the mid to upper 80s.

The unsettled weather pattern is expected to continue into the middle of next week.

Forecasters are also monitoring the potential for high surf and beach erosion, depending on how a developing area of low pressure evolves.

Residents and visitors should keep an eye on the forecast, particularly if they have outdoor plans, as rain and storms could be frequent over the coming days.
