SpaceX scrubs planned Friday launch of a Falcon 9

Orlando, Fla. — SpaceX is standing down from its planned Friday afternoon launch from Kennedy Space Center.

On Twitter, the company said it needed "additional time for pre-launch checkouts, but Falcon 9 and the satellites are healthy."

It would’ve been the third Starlink launch in June, as part of SpaceX’s plan to send dozens of Internet satellites every few weeks.

Friday’s launch was already delayed twice this week due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Fifty-seven Starlink satellites and two spacecraft from Spaceflight Inc’s customer BlackSky, a satellite startup bases in Seattle, are aboard.
